1. Who this covers. This policy explains how Method K9, LLC and Method K9 Institute, Inc. ("we" or "us") collect, use and share personal information through methodk9.com, methodk9institute.com, our course site at methodk9institute.thinkific.com, our video library, and related forms, emails and text messages (our "Sites").

2. Information we collect. We collect what you give us when you enroll, buy, subscribe, fill out a form or contact us: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, payment details (handled by our payment processors), information about you and your dog, and any videos, tests or messages you submit. We also collect technical information automatically, such as your device, browser, pages visited and how you use our Sites, using cookies and similar tools.

3. How we use it. We use your information to provide and deliver courses and services, process payments, review certification work, communicate with you about your enrollment, progress and course updates, send marketing you have agreed to, improve our Sites and offerings, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

4. Consent. When you give us personal information to become a learner, make a purchase or take part in a course, you consent to us collecting and using it for that purpose. If we want to use it for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will ask for your consent or give you a chance to say no.

5. Email and text messages. If you give us your email address, we may send you service messages and marketing emails; you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in every email. If you give us your phone number on a form, by phone or on a scheduled call, you agree we may text you about our programs, payment plans and promotions. Message and data rates may apply and frequency varies. Reply STOP to stop texts or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase.

6. Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw consent to contact, or to our continued use or disclosure of your information, at any time by emailing info@methodk9.com or writing to us at the address below. Text messages stop when you reply STOP.

7. Who we share information with. We share information only as needed with service providers that help us operate, and when the law requires it. These include, but are not limited to, our course hosting platform (Thinkific), our video library platform (Uscreen), payment processors and payment-plan providers (such as Stripe and PayPal), Brevo (email and text messaging), Zapier (automation), Jotform (forms), Wix (website), and Partial.ly (payment plans). We also use artificial intelligence tools to help us run our business, and information you give us may be processed by those tools under their providers' terms. We may also disclose information if you violate our Terms of Service. We do not give brand partners or sponsors direct access to students' contact information. We do not sell your personal information. If our business or assets are sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner so service can continue.

8. Thinkific and payments. Our course site is hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc., which provides the course platform and stores your data on its servers. If you make a purchase, we use third-party payment processors that follow the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). We do not store full card numbers, and purchase transaction data is kept only as long as needed to complete the transaction and meet our records obligations. Each provider has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to read them.

9. Providers in other places. Some providers are located in, or store data in, other countries. If you use our Sites from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed in the United States and may be subject to the laws of the places where our providers operate. Once you leave our Sites or are sent to a third-party website or application, this policy no longer applies.

10. Cookies, advertising and analytics. We use cookies and similar tools to recognize your device, personalize content, measure performance, attribute visits to their sources, and serve targeted ads through Google, Facebook, Instagram and other advertising partners, who may track your visits to our Sites and elsewhere online. You can set your browser to warn you about or block cookies, and you can opt out of targeted ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out pages. There is no consistent industry standard for "Do Not Track" signals, so we do not change our practices when we detect one.

11. Security. We take reasonable precautions and follow industry practices to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. How long we keep it. We keep information as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal, tax and accounting duties, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

13. Your choices and rights. You may ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or register a complaint, by contacting us below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests as the law requires. We may need to keep some information for legal and business reasons.

14. Age. Our Sites are for adults 18 or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

15. Changes. We may change this policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted on our Sites, and if we make material changes we will note that the policy has been updated here.
